La storia di Hotel Casa Verardo: una Residenza d’Epoca nel cuore di Venezia

Hotel Casa Verardo è molto più di un elegante hotel 3 stelle a Venezia: è una raffinata Residenza d’Epoca situata in un autentico palazzo nobiliare veneziano del XVI secolo. Un luogo che custodisce storie, memorie e suggestioni di secoli passati, offrendo ai suoi ospiti l’esperienza unica di soggiornare in un vero palazzo storico veneziano.

Il palazzo, risalente al 1581, fu originariamente sede di una scuola ebraica. Nei primi anni del Novecento, il primo piano fu trasformato in un accogliente albergo da una nobildonna veneziana, la Signora Verardo, da cui l’hotel prende il nome. Da allora, Casa Verardo è diventata una “casa lontano da casa” per viaggiatori provenienti da tutto il mondo, desiderosi di vivere l’atmosfera autentica di Venezia.

Nel corso del Novecento, l’edificio è stato oggetto di un sapiente restauro e di un ampliamento ai piani superiori. Questo intervento ha riportato alla luce preziosi elementi architettonici originali: il terrazzo alla veneziana dei piani nobili, i soffitti lignei affrescati in stile Sansovino e un giardino interno segreto arricchito da una colonna seicentesca di rara bellezza.

Durante i lavori di ristrutturazione sono emerse altre testimonianze storiche di rilievo, come una vera acquasantiera originale, oggi visibile nella lobby, e una suggestiva pàtera veneziana nel giardino, un bassorilievo ornamentale che raffigura un leone e un’aquila. Secondo uno storico locale, questa rappresentazione simboleggia il tramonto di un’antica famiglia veneziana (leone) e l’ascesa di una nuova casata dominante (aquila): piccoli frammenti di storia che rendono l’hotel un luogo affascinante tutto da scoprire.

Ogni dettaglio di Casa Verardo racconta il perfetto equilibrio tra passato e presente. La terrazza panoramica con vista su Venezia, gli arredi d’epoca, le lampade Fortuny, i dipinti della scuola veneta del XVI secolo e i tessuti pregiati Rubelli si fondono con i più alti standard di comfort, ospitalità e sicurezza.

 Verified Lovely hotel and friendly staff
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel, would be happy to stay here again, and would recommend it to others. We were allocated a room in the Annex when we booked, and were a little concerned as some of the older reviews had negative comments about it. We rang up the hotel, who explained that they no longer had the old Annex which was 5 minutes from the hotel. We would be staying in their brand new Annex, completely refurbished a year ago and just one minute from the main hotel crossing a bridge over a small canal. This proved to be completely accurate. We had a beautiful modern room in the new Annex. There is also a large lounge/sitting area in the annex which we made use of. Breakfast is served in the main hotel, and that was excellent. Fresh fruit salad, scrambled eggs and bacon, and the normal selection of Continental breakfast food. Decent coffee. The staff are all lovely, friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. I was the victim of a pick pocket on our first day, my wallet skilfully removed from the zipped back pocket of my rucksack - be warned!!!! The lady on reception gave me directions to the nearest police station. Apart from the theft of my wallet, we had an excellent holiday in Venice.

 Verified Fantastic hotel with welcoming staff
We've just returned from a short family break to Venice, travelling with 2 children ages 10 and 13, staying at the Casa Verardo. The hotel is in a superb location - a few minutes walk to the main sights, but quiet and secluded enough to be peaceful. The room was spacious and typically Venetian - we didn't have a canal view as we were at the rear, but that didn't distract from the experience at all. It was clean and the bed was one of the comfiest I've stayed in while away from home. Breakfast was typical continental, with lots of choice and was plenty for us. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. One of the members of staff on the front desk gave us a map, and wrote full instructions on how to visit Murano, Burano (well worth a visit), and the grand canal at sunset, with ACTV numbers and times etc. Saved us lots of time as we knew where to head for. The staff also offered recommendations for restaurants and advice on returning to the airport. I loved our short time in this beautiful, unique location and when we return to Venice, we will definitely return to this hotel.

Soggiorno Top!!!La struttura è nel centro di Venezia, in una stradina meravigliosa, facilmente raggiungibile. Pulizia, professionalità, disponibilità e cortesia contraddistinguono questo hotel!! Stanza bellissima, confort ovunque....insomma altamente consigliato!!!!

Excellent hotel. Lovely room and comfy bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location was great only a short walk to St Marks Square and Rialto Bridge. Breakfast was good and no limit on how much you had. Got to keep my room for an extra hour which was very helpful. Would definitely recommend!

 Verified Excellent hotel - recommend
Returned from our 4 night stay, very happy with our experience. The hotel is an excellent base , a 5 minute walk from arriving on a water taxi , a 2 minute walk to restaurants and shops and a 5 minute walk to St Marks square. Although near to all of the above it is peaceful as the hotel is tucked down one of the many lanes. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left all the staff were friendly, polite & helpful. Our room was nice, clean & had everything we needed ( just note: no kettle /tea/coffee as in hotels back home) staff come in daily to service the room whilst you are out.If you are not on the ground floor there is a lift that can be used. The breakfast was served on the same floor as our room, however you could not hear anything unless you had your window open as in front of your room door is another door which stops noise coming in. Breakfast is self service & is everything you would expect of a continental breakfast. Staff bring tea and coffee to the table, however you can ask for top ups if needed. There are a couple of outside areas you can sit in if you want some fresh air or to soak up the sun. If we ever go back to Venice we would stay at this hotel again & from our experience I would be hoppy to recommend it to others.

Super séjour. Nous étions dans la dépendance au calme, située en face de l hôtel. Le personnel est très agréable et toujours prêt à aider. (Parle français) Très bon petit déjeuner. Très bonne situation dans Venise, à la fois proche du centre mais éloignée de la foule.

 Verified Ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt
Das Hotel ist vom nächstgelegenen Bootsanleger sehr gut und ohne viele Stufen zu erreichen. Die Lage ist einfach richtig gut, um zur Promenade oder den Hauptattraktionen zu gelangen. In näherer Umgebung sind mehrere Restaurants gelegen. Das Zimmer war erstaunlich geräumig, direkt auf der Etage des Frühstückraumes in der ersten Etage. Es war sehr sauber und wurde täglich gereinigt. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und sicherlich wird jeder Geschmack bedient, nicht nur der italienische. Einzig die Nachhaltigkeit ist noch verbesserungsfähig, was aber zugegebener Maßen auf Grund von Hyygieneauflagen und wahrscheinlich wegen der Wünsche vieler Gäste schwierig ist. Das Personal war zahlreich und immer vorhanden und durchweg sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel ist bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Venedig wieder die erste Wahl.

L’hôtel est très bien situé, tout proche du centre et en même temps au calme. Décoration typique, cossue, soignée et entretenue. Tout était très propre ! This was our first expirience in Venezi and in Hotel Casa Verardo too. The location is closed The Piazza S. Marcos and others monuments of City. All structure of hotel is amazing and the reception of Frederico is unic. Amabily and gentileza are your speciality! Our family recomend!
