How to reach us

In the heart of Venice, just a few minutes from Piazza San Marco, Hotel Casa Verardo is easily accessible from every terminal.

Vaporetto, water taxi or stroll through the calli: our staff is available to advise you on the ideal route.

Vaporetto

From the ACTV Vaporetto stop | “Rialto”

Follow Calle Larga Mazzini until you reach Campo San Salvador.
Turn left and continue along Marzaria Due Aprile.
Continue until you reach Campo San Bartolomeo and take the street on the right, passing under Sotoportego de la Bissa.
Go straight, cross the bridge, and continue along Salizada San Lio for about 170 meters.
At the corner with the Coop Supermarket, turn left and follow Calle del Mondo Novo.
Cross the bridge and once you reach Campo Santa Maria Formosa, head towards Ponte de Ruga Giufa on the right.
Continue along Ruga Giufa for about 100 meters, then turn right and follow Calle Castagna to the end.
Turn left: before the bridge, you will find the entrance of Hotel Casa Verardo – Residenza d’Epoca.

From the ACTV Vaporetto stop | “San Zaccaria”

Follow Calle de le Rasse (next to Hotel Danieli) until you reach Campo Santi Filippo e Giacomo.
Continue towards Calle drio la Chiesa, go straight ahead and cross the bridge.
Immediately at the foot of the bridge is the entrance to Hotel Casa Verardo – Residenza d’Epoca.

Airport Marco Polo (VCE)

Transport through the Lagoon

After passing through customs, follow the signs for Water Transport in light blue.

In 5 minutes, you will reach the dock from where you can choose the Water Taxi that will take you directly near Hotel Casa Verardo – Residenza d’Epoca in just over 30/40 minutes.

The Alilaguna waterbus service is also available and will take you to the San Zaccaria stop in about 90 minutes.

From the stop, continue on foot for about 10 minutes.

Bus Transport

From the airport, take the ATVO bus with no intermediate stops (20 min.) or the ACTV Line 5 (AeroBus) with stops (30 min.) to Venice.

Arriving at Piazzale Roma, you can continue with the Water Taxi that will take you directly near Hotel Casa Verardo – Residenza d’Epoca.

Public Vaporetto Line 2 is also available and will take you in 15 minutes to the Rialto stop, which is about 10/15 minutes on foot from Hotel Casa Verardo – Residenza d’Epoca.

Airport A. Canova (TSF)

Upon exiting the airport, the ATVO bus to Venice – Piazzale Roma is available, or you can take a Taxi to Venice.

Upon arrival at Piazzale Roma, the Water Taxi is available and will take you directly near Hotel Casa Verardo – Residenza d’Epoca.

The public Vaporetto Line 2 is also available, and in 15 minutes, it will take you to the Rialto stop, just 10/15 minutes on foot from Hotel Casa Verardo – Residenza d’Epoca.

By car

From the A4 highways (coming from Padua or Quarto d’Altino/Trieste/Udine) or A27 (Belluno) or SS 309 Romea

Follow the signs to Venice.

Drive along the entire Ponte della Libertà that crosses the Venetian Lagoon.

At the traffic light, you can turn right to park at the Tronchetto island parking lot, or continue to use the private parking available at the Autorimessa Comunale or Garage San Marco in Piazzale Roma.

From Piazzale Roma or Tronchetto island, you can book a Water Taxi that will take you directly near Hotel Casa Verardo – Residenza d’Epoca.
Public Vaporetto Line 2 is also available, which will take you near the hotel. Get off at the Rialto stop and proceed for 10 minutes on foot.

By train

From the “Santa Lucia” Train Station

Upon exiting the Santa Lucia Train Station in Venice, you will find the Water Taxi service on the left, which will take you directly near Hotel Casa Verardo – Residenza d’Epoca in 15/20 minutes.

Alternatively, you can choose the public Vaporetto Line 2 towards Rialto – San Marco, which will take you to the Rialto stop in 15 minutes, just a 10-minute walk from Hotel Colombina and Hotel Casa Verardo – Residenza d’Epoca.

By sea

From the Cruise Terminal – Fusina

Take the Water Taxi service, which will take you directly near Hotel Casa Verardo – Residenza d’Epoca in 30/40 minutes.

The Vaporetto Line 16 is also available, which will take you to the Zattere – Gesuati stop in 25 minutes. Then, take Vaporetto 5.1 from the Zattere “B” pier, which will take you to the San Marco – San Zaccaria “F” stop, just 10 minutes on foot from Hotel Casa Verardo – Residenza d’Epoca.

 Verified Lovely hotel and friendly staff
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel, would be happy to stay here again, and would recommend it to others. We were allocated a room in the Annex when we booked, and were a little concerned as some of the older reviews had negative comments about it. We rang up the hotel, who explained that they no longer had the old Annex which was 5 minutes from the hotel. We would be staying in their brand new Annex, completely refurbished a year ago and just one minute from the main hotel crossing a bridge over a small canal. This proved to be completely accurate. We had a beautiful modern room in the new Annex. There is also a large lounge/sitting area in the annex which we made use of. Breakfast is served in the main hotel, and that was excellent. Fresh fruit salad, scrambled eggs and bacon, and the normal selection of Continental breakfast food. Decent coffee. The staff are all lovely, friendly and helpful, and spoke good English. I was the victim of a pick pocket on our first day, my wallet skilfully removed from the zipped back pocket of my rucksack - be warned!!!! The lady on reception gave me directions to the nearest police station. Apart from the theft of my wallet, we had an excellent holiday in Venice.

 Verified Fantastic hotel with welcoming staff
We've just returned from a short family break to Venice, travelling with 2 children ages 10 and 13, staying at the Casa Verardo. The hotel is in a superb location - a few minutes walk to the main sights, but quiet and secluded enough to be peaceful. The room was spacious and typically Venetian - we didn't have a canal view as we were at the rear, but that didn't distract from the experience at all. It was clean and the bed was one of the comfiest I've stayed in while away from home. Breakfast was typical continental, with lots of choice and was plenty for us. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. One of the members of staff on the front desk gave us a map, and wrote full instructions on how to visit Murano, Burano (well worth a visit), and the grand canal at sunset, with ACTV numbers and times etc. Saved us lots of time as we knew where to head for. The staff also offered recommendations for restaurants and advice on returning to the airport. I loved our short time in this beautiful, unique location and when we return to Venice, we will definitely return to this hotel.

Excellent hotel. Lovely room and comfy bed. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location was great only a short walk to St Marks Square and Rialto Bridge. Breakfast was good and no limit on how much you had. Got to keep my room for an extra hour which was very helpful. Would definitely recommend!

 Verified Excellent hotel - recommend
Returned from our 4 night stay, very happy with our experience. The hotel is an excellent base , a 5 minute walk from arriving on a water taxi , a 2 minute walk to restaurants and shops and a 5 minute walk to St Marks square. Although near to all of the above it is peaceful as the hotel is tucked down one of the many lanes. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left all the staff were friendly, polite & helpful. Our room was nice, clean & had everything we needed ( just note: no kettle /tea/coffee as in hotels back home) staff come in daily to service the room whilst you are out.If you are not on the ground floor there is a lift that can be used. The breakfast was served on the same floor as our room, however you could not hear anything unless you had your window open as in front of your room door is another door which stops noise coming in. Breakfast is self service & is everything you would expect of a continental breakfast. Staff bring tea and coffee to the table, however you can ask for top ups if needed. There are a couple of outside areas you can sit in if you want some fresh air or to soak up the sun. If we ever go back to Venice we would stay at this hotel again & from our experience I would be hoppy to recommend it to others.

Super séjour. Nous étions dans la dépendance au calme, située en face de l hôtel. Le personnel est très agréable et toujours prêt à aider. (Parle français) Très bon petit déjeuner. Très bonne situation dans Venise, à la fois proche du centre mais éloignée de la foule.

 Verified Ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt
Das Hotel ist vom nächstgelegenen Bootsanleger sehr gut und ohne viele Stufen zu erreichen. Die Lage ist einfach richtig gut, um zur Promenade oder den Hauptattraktionen zu gelangen. In näherer Umgebung sind mehrere Restaurants gelegen. Das Zimmer war erstaunlich geräumig, direkt auf der Etage des Frühstückraumes in der ersten Etage. Es war sehr sauber und wurde täglich gereinigt. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und sicherlich wird jeder Geschmack bedient, nicht nur der italienische. Einzig die Nachhaltigkeit ist noch verbesserungsfähig, was aber zugegebener Maßen auf Grund von Hyygieneauflagen und wahrscheinlich wegen der Wünsche vieler Gäste schwierig ist. Das Personal war zahlreich und immer vorhanden und durchweg sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel ist bei unserem nächsten Besuch in Venedig wieder die erste Wahl.

L’hôtel est très bien situé, tout proche du centre et en même temps au calme. Décoration typique, cossue, soignée et entretenue. Tout était très propre ! This was our first expirience in Venezi and in Hotel Casa Verardo too. The location is closed The Piazza S. Marcos and others monuments of City. All structure of hotel is amazing and the reception of Frederico is unic. Amabily and gentileza are your speciality! Our family recomend!
